The Next Big YA Book | Written By YOU !

I was contacted by a representative from Hipso Media, to post about a huge event they're co-hosting from September.17th - October. 1st, and guys there was no way I could say no.

The Next Big YA Book is such an amazing opportunity for authors who are looking to get their work published. Continue reading below for more details!

Calling all authors!

If you have ever hashtagged #amwriting, #MSWL, or

From September 17th through October 1st, Hipso Media Publishing and Jenny from Supernatural Snark will be hosting the ‘Next Big YA Book Event.’

Why is this good news for #amwriters?

Here’s how the event works. Most publishers work exclusively with agents, which makes it difficult (more like close to impossible) for up-and-coming writers to get their work seen. Well, Hipso Media Publishing will be opening their doors to all YA writers who dream of traditional publication, but can’t seem to catch a break. Writers who have mountainous ideas, along with an actual mountain of rejection letters. Hipso wants to pick one of those writers, and treat them like the literary rock star they are, showering them in every publishing perk someone of their caliber deserves:

-  Publishing contract with a generous royalty program
-  Custom cover from Seedlings Design
-  Candace Book Blog Book Tour
-  Exclusive front-page podcast on AuthorsOnTourLive, iReadBooksRadio and iHeartRadio (which gets an average of more than 1 million hits a year)
-  Novel as an eBook on all major retailers – Kindle, Nook, iBooks, Kobo, around the world
-  A featured post on Supernatural Snark
-  Awesome book swag, and more…

Once the winning manuscript is picked, Jenny from Supernatural Snark (Owner of Seedlings Design) will work with the author to create a custom cover that will be sure to shout, “NEXT BIG YA BOOK”. And then she’ll do a featured post on Supernatural Snark, to make sure the world hears.
No agents, hoops, or hassles. The only criteria are that your YA manuscript be finished, you must believe it’s great, and it must not already be published somewhere else.

Here’s the link to the submissions page and contact info:

  1. I saw this a few weeks back and I was like "HOLY BURRITOS!" I only have around 12 chapters in my book and I'm trying to get up to 42 chapters. It's a longggg process, haha. This seems like such an awesome thing and I wish I could enter.

    1. It is! I was reaching out to everyone that I knew had a finished manuscript. I mean a publishing deal, and all these cool perks? You can't get anything better than that. I'm excited to see who wins, I get to read an ARC copy of the winning book so I can't wait to see who takes it all.

    2. Exactly. Wow, lucky you! I can't wait to see who wins though. :)

    3. Me too ! It's definitely a cool experience. Too bad I don't inspire to be a writer! lmao

  2. I'd love to do this, but my manuscript is no where near complete. And it almost seems like one of those "too good to be true" things.

    1. From the information they've sent me it seems pretty legit. I mean I HOPE it is since I'm out here promoting this event lol. I know sooo many bloggers that have projects they're working on, but the manuscripts weren't finished! They're supposed to be updating me on who wins, so we'll see how good things went then.
