A year ago, Millie lost her legs and her filmmaking career in a failed suicide attempt. Just when she's sure the credits have rolled on her life story, she gets a second chance with the Arcadia Project: a secret organization that polices the traffic to and from a parallel reality filled with creatures straight out of myth and fairy tales.
For her first assignment, Millie is tasked with tracking down a missing movie star who also happens to be a nobleman of the Seelie Court. To find him, she'll have to smooth-talk Hollywood power players and uncover the surreal and sometimes terrifying truth behind the glamour of Tinseltown. But stronger forces than just her inner demons are sabotaging her progress, and if she fails to unravel the conspiracy behind the noble's disappearance, not only will she be out on the streets, but the shattering of a centuries-old peace could spark an all-out war between worlds.
No pressure.

The Geek: Tired of being bullied, Boston is obsessed with getting into an Ivy League college. The Pariah: Choosing to be invisible has always worked for Sam . . . until tonight.

TOUR
Rebel Bully Geek Pariah: YA Edition
which YA titles did Erin choose to be the rebel, the bully, the geek, and the pariah?
.
When I first found out about this title, I knew I had to have it. Anything that's pitched as one of my favorite movies, The Breakfast Club, automatically goes on my " I-need-this-right-the-hell-now-list " and thankfully, Erin Lange did this classic some justice. For my promo post for Hannah's awesome tour, I had this wonderful author choose 4 titles that fit the description of Rebel, Bully, Geek, and Pariah. Check out what she came up with below!
REBEL – Any book by Courtney Summers. Her books are so raw and honest. She tells the truth about teen life not just in the issues she writes about but down to the language she uses. Her books might scare adults, but teenagers see a reflection of their own stories in her work. I think it takes courage (and a small amount of rebellion) to tell the truth like that.
BULLY – It’s tough to call a book a bully, because that word has such a negative connotation. I try to write my bullies to be complex multi-layered characters, who aren’t as evil as they seem. In that vein, I’d call Shine by Lauren Myracle, my bully book. On the surface, it’s dark – issues like drugs and hate crimes are front-and-center – but there is this current of hope that runs through the story that keeps it from being too heavy to read. GEEK – These days, it’s wonderfully cool to be a “nerd,” so I would choose any book the masses “geek out” over, whether it’s the newest installment in a popular series or a breathlessly-awaited John Green book. It’s not YA, but I am personally geeked for Justin Cronin’s “The City of Mirrors” – the final installment in The Passage series. PARIAH – Slice of Cherry by Dia Reeves, because it is wholly unique, which forces it to stand apart from other books, not quite fitting into any existing category. It is also somewhat unsung and misunderstood and just SPECTACULAR.
Have you guys read any of Erin's YA picks? If so, let me know which ones you've read, (or plan on reading) and don't forget to enter the giveaway to win 3 finished copies of this title

Dream Squad Goals
what happens when I cast fictional characters with the hit TV show Reign? Well epicness of course.
.
If you follow me on twitter, then it'll be no surprise to know that Reign is one of my favorite shows. I'm obsessed with the drama and twists that keep on you on the edge of your seat, and the gorgeous actors/actresses that make it all come alive. When I found out Hannah from Irish Banana was hosting a tour to promote the titles Prophecy and Hysteria, I knew it would be my opportunity to do the ultimate casting of my dreams. I've been itching to pair some of my favorite fictional characters with those from a TV series, and with Reign I have the perfect choices!
I could literally stare at this fine piece of specimen all day. Other than Francis being completely swoon-worthy, his " kingly " ways, (is that even a word?) and his fire to protect the ones he loves, makes him a perfect Aldrik. Elise if this is ever adapted into a movie, you know you better call Toby!
Next to Francis, Sebastian is my next favorite character. In the first season of the series, he had a bit of hard exterior, but was such a soft gentleman underneath. He's a natural born leader, but is much more reserved than his brother, which is where he becomes similar to Chaol.
Norstadamus would make a dashing Hagrid from the Harry Potter series HAHA
I originally casted Lola as a completely different character from another book, but for some odd reason Cress kept popping into my head, and after making the pairing, I would say it's a definitely a great match. Lola always gives me this cute damsel in distress vibe, and with Cress being my favorite character and book out of the series, I knew it would work!
Andddd that's a wrap on my Dream Squad casting for Reign. Did I hit any of the pairings on the head? If so, let me know down below, along with any fictional characters you would want to see paired with the cast from the show. Oh and don't forget to enter this awesome giveaway. Both Reign books and Season 1 DVD's are up for grabs!
Welcome to the Apocalypse. Your forecast includes acid rain, roving gangs and misplaced priorities, in this comedic take on the end of the world as we know it, from debut author Daphne Lamb.
As a self-entitled, self-involved, and ill equipped millennial, Verdell probably wouldn’t have ranked very high on the list of those most likely to survive the end of the world, but here she is anyway. Add in travelling with her work addicted boss, her boyfriend who she has “meh” feelings for, and a handful of others who had no businesses surviving as long as they have, and things aren’t exactly going as planned. But despite threats of cannibalism, infected water supplies, and possibly even mutants, Verdell is willing to put in as little effort as she can get away with to survive.

My Favorite Genre Goes Apocalyptic
everything I love about new adult wrapped up into a world gone to shit? Oh yesss, count me in!
.
When it comes to new adult, I tend to stick to my " safe " zones, contemporary, romance, and suspense/thriller. To be honest, there aren't THAT many sub-genres within new adult to indulge in anyway, so these genres aren't uncommon at all. What had me so pumped to pick up this title, was the fact that it's set in a apocalyptic world, without a clan of teenagers. No shade to YA, it was just nice seeing something different being done in NA. Atleast for me that is. This year, I made a goal to read more science fiction, dystopian, post + apocalyptic reads this year, so what better way than to start with The Girl's Guide To The Apocalypse?
EXCERPT
“Wait,” I looked around. “There’s a bathroom here? You’re telling me I used a dumpster out in the open like a jerk?” Debra poked her head out of a broken window. “You say that like it’s a big fat joke,” she said. “And it’s not. Just because we’re going through a hard time doesn’t mean we have to live like savages. You can still be picky about a bathroom.” She paused, then took a deep breath. It seemed she was doing everything she could to keep her shaky emotions in check. “So just for that,” she said. “No one gets to use this bathroom. It’s mine!” She went back inside, slamming the window. “I don’t get it,” I said. “That answered none of my questions.” “Want a tour?” Robert asked. “we were just getting settled.” I followed his lead. The inside of the house was a wreck. There were brown stains coimiung down the walls and more spray painted scrawling. A distinct odor wafted through the halls, something like sewage and fresh air, a yin and yang of experiences. There was a couch, its cushions gone, a giant rip through its upholstery and propped up against one of the boarded up windows. I followed him into the kitchen where Debra was going through the cabinets. “You would think you could find something to eat,” she said. “But no.” She pulled out a box of Fruit Rollups. “Please,” she said. “This is a travesty.” “It’s food,” I said. “At least it’s something.” She rolled her eyes at me. “Gluten?” she said. “Sugar? Carbs? I’m telling you, if earthquakes and viruses don’t kill us, this will.” She slammed the box back down. “I will swell up like a balloon unless I find some gluten free options here.” She looked up as Priscilla entered the house. “Maria!” she said. “You made it!” Priscilla smiled. “It’s still Priscilla.” Debra waved it away. “And this place is a mess. Maybe a little tidying up, perhaps?” She turned away, bend down to look in the cabinets under the sink. Priscilla turned to me, confused. “Does she think I’m the hired help?” Instead of answering, I looked around. “So this place has a working bathroom?” I asked. “Yeah about that,” Robert said, sheepishly. His face said it all. “We tried it,” he said. “It didn’t work out.”

Make a wish…
Lennie always thought her uncles’ “important family legacy” was good old-fashioned bootlegging. Then she takes some of her uncles’ moonshine to Michaela Gordon’s annual house party, and finds out just how wrong she was.
At the party, Lennie has everyone make a wish before drinking the shine—it’s tradition. She toasts to wishes for bat wings, for balls of steel, for the party to go on forever. Lennie even makes a wish of her own: to bring back her best friend, Dylan, who was murdered six months ago.
The next morning gives Lennie a whole new understanding of the phrase be careful what you wish for—or in her case, be careful what wishes you grant. Because all those wishes Lennie raised a jar of shine to last night? They came true. Most of them came out bad. And once granted, a wish can’t be unmade…
No one has set foot on Earth in centuries -- until now.
Ever since a devastating nuclear war, humanity has lived on spaceships far above Earth's radioactive surface. Now, one hundred juvenile delinquents -- considered expendable by society -- are being sent on a dangerous mission: to recolonize the planet. It could be their second chance at life...or it could be a suicide mission.
CLARKE was arrested for treason, though she's haunted by the memory of what she really did. WELLS, the chancellor's son, came to Earth for the girl he loves -- but will she ever forgive him? Reckless BELLAMY fought his way onto the transport pod to protect his sister, the other half of the only pair of siblings in the universe. And GLASS managed to escape back onto the ship, only to find that life there is just as dangerous as she feared it would be on Earth.
Confronted with a savage land and haunted by secrets from their pasts, the hundred must fight to survive. They were never meant to be heroes, but they may be mankind's last hope.

If You Haven't Started This Epic Series
not only are you missing out, but . . . wtf else are you watching??
.
On January 21st, during the 3rd season premiere of The 100, I learned three things:
People love this show.
People really love this show.
People really, really, really love this show.
My twitter timeline was shut down with The 100 tweets, and after seeing Kelly, Erica, Shannon, Jackie, Taylor, and Karina fangirl about the show, I knew I had to snatch my girls up, and insert them right into my post. I decided to interview this awesome bunch, and let's just say that our group chat on twitter, got a little crazy lol.If you're not sure if you're ready to binge watch or read this series, let these fangirls change your mind!
For those who have been living under a rock, describe The 100 . . . using ONLY 140 characters.
Kelly: Unwashed, dirty teen criminals from space are sent to a desolate Earth. Stabbing and sexy times ensue.
Karina: Completely AMAZING!!! No other show compares anymore!!! By season 2, you'll regret having waited so long to watch it!!!
Jackie: Space "Princess" is now leader of deemed criminals on a contaminated post-apocalyptic Earth. Her co-leader is hot + Earth is savage. Obvs.
Erica: A group of teens sent down to Earth looking to see if it is livable. Not only do they find the radiation isn't bad but others have already claimed the land. Will they find truce or start a war?
Shannon: Crappy adults send kids from the Ark to Radiation land. Kids behave as expected. Make enemies, somehow don't make any babies. Become badasses.
Taylor: The 100 is about survival, with a lot of unexpected twists and turns. It's action packed and never boring! And the romance is awesome
Dirty eggplants and va-jay-jay's, contaminated planets, hot co-leaders with greasy hair, romance . . . I mean what more do you need right?
Let's Play A Game Of Kiss. Marry. Kill Go!
Karina: Kiss Bellamy . Marry Lincoln . Kill Jaha
Jackie: Kiss Lincoln . Marry Bellamy . Kill Jaha
Erica: Kiss Lincoln . Marry Bellamy . Kill Jaha
Kelly: Kiss Bellamy. Marry Lincoln. Kill Abby
Taylor: Kiss Bellamy . Marry Lincoln . Kill Murphy
Shannon: Kill Jaha, that goes without saying. I am having a terrible time deciding whether I need to marry Bellamy or Lincoln. Can't I just keep them both? Who says monogamy needs to be a thing in this new world?
Everyone seems to be #teambellamyguywiththegreasyhair
Who is your ultimate ship?
Karina: Octavia & Lincoln Erica: Clarke & Bellamy
Kelly: Lincoln & Octavia
Shannon: BELLARKE
Jackie: Octavia & Lincoln
Karina: Octavia & Lincoln
Can Octavia and Lincoln just get married already. I mean it's obviously everyone wants them to.
I'm a fan of love triangles, (only good ones of course) what fictional character from another series or standalone, would you allow to board your ship?
Kelly: Throw in Celaena Sardothien from the Throne of Glass series, with either one actually.
Erica: Same Kelly, great minds think alike!
Taylor: I would allow Edward from Twilight because . . . well he's my fave #loser
Shannon: Johanna Mason from The Hunger Games, because she's badass and would make Clarke realize that she loves Bellamy
Jackie: JUST ONE TIKA GIRL COME OOON - that being said Marc from Best Laid Plans because he's a legit mercenary and how fun is that!
Celaena and Edward, oh yes, make me proud fangirls!
If you could change anything about the series, what would it be?
Erica - Jaha wasn't a dick. I love the actor who plays him (Dr. Burke from Grey's Anatomy) but his character makes me want to pull my hair out.
Kelly - The 'City Of Light' storyline irritates me. It's just added weirdness that it really didn't need.
Jackie: I hate the City of Light somebody make it go away.
Karina: I wish the Ark people never came to Earth. They annoyed me when they tried to take control. I also hate the whole Jaha's city of light plot.
Taylor: I would change the fact that Murphy is so annoying. He's a key character but my lord I wish he could go somewhere else!
Shannon: All these Jaha nonsense. Could he maybe have just gone down with the ship? I have that Dido song in my head now...
Earth to whoever, no one cares about the whole " city of light " thing. Got it? Good.
If there was any character from the series that mirrored your personality, who would it be and why?
Erica: Oh gosh, well I'm not brave in any sense and everyone in this series is. I'll go with Maya. She helped out everyone from the Ark & I feel like if I were in her situation I would have acted the same.
Karina: I like to stay in the unknown so maybe I'm like Monty since he's been staying in the sidelines most of the time :o (If that makes sense lol)
Shannon: I WANT to say someone cool like Octavia, but I am probably more of a Jasper, sadly.
Jackie: I am my own unique human. Lol. Maybe a Bellamy? I do stupid things with good intentions to protect the ones I love. Or sometimes just stupid things
Taylor: I think Clarke is similar to me because she is very determined and I am too! She's also a mess sometimes like me.
I'm a mix of Clarke, Bellamy, and Octavia. Obviously it's because I'm cool.
If you were given the opportunity to change the title of The 100, what would it be?
Shannon: Arkpocalypse!
Jackie: Never Let You Go?
Karina: Survival Of The Fittest!
Taylor: Out of Air and Brains
Kelly: Just kiss already
BRB can't stop laughing LOL
So there you have it guys, The 100 fangirls have spoken! If you're not pumped about grease head Bellamy, a post-apocolypic earth, romance filled with radiation, and other you know . . things, then maybe this giveaway will give you that extra push you need to pick this up. Good luck everyone!
